Promotion of ICT (INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES) sustainability practices in SMEs through enhanced competencies of Vocational Education Training (VET) professionals and company staff
The project D-Green-Digital sustainability for SMEs, is an Erasmus+ Cooperation partnerships in Vocational Education and Training (KA220-VET). It intends to to support SMEs reduce the environmental and social footprint of information and communication technologies used.
The project wants:
To improve the knowledge, skills, and competencies of VET professionals (ICT (INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES) experts, sustainability experts, management experts) to implement practical educational paths on ICT (INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES) sustainability for SMEs.
To improve the knowledge, skills and competencies of SME managers and workers on how to implement ICT (INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES)s more sustainably and effectively.
To raise awareness of the ICT (INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES) sustainability practices and benefits for SMEs

A practical resource for VET trainers, experts, and professionals working with SME managers and workers. It aims to support the development and delivery of training courses on ICT (INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES) sustainability practices for SMEs
D-Green Training Course
An international face-to-face and practical training for VET teachers, educators, and trainers focused on providing them with specific competences on sustainability practices for implementing ICT (INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES)s in a more effective and sustainable way.
D-Green MOOC
A web-based modularised MOOC (Massive Online Open Course) for SME managers and workers providing the needed competencies to facilitate a more sustainable and effective use of ICT (INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES) systems.
D-Green Assessment Tool
An interactive resource designed for SME managers and workers to assess the environmental and social impact of their ICT (INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES) practices. It provides a structured approach to measuring their progress in digital and sustainable transitions, helping businesses identify strengths, gaps, and areas for improvement

The key actors of the project
Assindustria Consulting Ltd., the utility company 100% owned by Confindustria Pesaro Urbino, a young and dynamic company founded with the purpose of providing additional services required by business associates. The main objective is to ensure personalized service, highly qualified and cost-effective. Confindustria Pesaro Urbino is a voluntary association of enterprises operating in the province of Pesaro and Urbino Pesaro since 1945. Its main task is to affirm the values of entrepreneurship in an organic way towards the local public administration, the Trade Unions and other associations as sole interlocutor and representative.It offers different services, some of them are: Human Resources Management; Payroll Management and Administration; Quality; Safety in the workplace; Confindustria Job- Search and selection of personnel; Planning and organization of training courses; Economy and Tax Services, Environmental Consulting, Consulting for internationalization , etc…

The community helps organisations strengthen their digital capabilities, improve training quality, and align processes with sustainable development goals. Learnable also enhances school-to-work transition and employability through accessible and future-oriented learning solutions.
Based in Granada, Spain, Neotalentway is a dynamic training center dedicated to boosting employability and fostering integration. Collaborating with schools, vocational centers, and more, they drive innovation through digitalization and new pedagogies. Their focus spans green behavior advocacy, circular economy support, digital skills, and ecological transition insights.
Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH), located in the south of Sweden, is an academic institute for higher education and research. The vision of BTH is A better world through knowledge, competence and innovation in digitalization and sustainability. It has about 500 employees and about 8000 registered students. BTH offers profession-oriented study programmes within the disciplinary fields of engineering and health focused on society’s future needs and challenges.
As regards research, BTH conducts research focused on digitalisation and sustainability which is usually conducted in collaboration with industry and society. BTH also collaborates with a number of universities worldwide – both in research and education.
E.C.E.C.E. is an international non-profit organization designed to promote and develop innovative pedagogical methodologies for the adult sector with focus on digital education and entrepreneurship. The NGO supports potential entrepreneurs and adults in general, in building their future careers and businesses, helping them to achieve their full potential in business and personal life through design thinking and collaborative learning. Its mission is to develop an innovative and entrepreneurial culture that enables young and adult learners to achieve their goals in life and business. ECECE continually researches new ideas, and values to generate new strategies for creating a positive lifelong learning environment. It cooperates with different international experts and organizations throughout Europe experimenting and designing new ways to foster growth and create business opportunities.
Let’s Do It World is a UN-Habitat knowledge partner and UNEP accredited NGO from Estonia, coordinating largest environmental network. Since 2018, we have mobilised 139 million volunteers across 211 countries and territories through our organising network active in 164 countries.
Our flagship initiative, World Cleanup Day (www.worldcleanupday.org), was officially recognized by the UN General Assembly in 2023 through Resolution A/RES/78/122, declaring September 20 an annual international observance. We work year-round to empower communities to take ownership of their environment, turning awareness into action and building momentum toward a cleaner planet. Our grassroots-to-global approach ensures that World Cleanup Day is not just a single-day event but a spark for long-term behavioral and policy change.
Beyond physical waste, Let’s Do It World address digital pollution through Digital Cleanup Day (www.digitalcleanupday.org), held every third Saturday of March. Since 2020, over 1.7 million participants have deleted 16.8 million GB of unnecessary data, preventing 4,200 tons of CO₂ annually—exposing how our online habits fuel the global waste crisis.
The D-GREEN project — “Digital Sustainability for SMEs” (Project Code: VET 2025-1-IT01-KA220-VET-000359863) — has officially started with its pre kick-off meeting held on 30 October 2025.
D-GREEN aims to reduce the environmental impact of ICT and promote digital sustainability among European SMEs through innovative learning and capacity-building tools.
Over its 24-month duration (1 October 2025 – 30 September 2027), the project will:
Enhance the knowledge and competences of VET professionals
Strengthen the green and digital skills of SMEs.
Foster the adoption of sustainable digital practices.
